Now available -- "The Loon-Stalker" by Tanya Beyer -  novel about a single mom &

daughter in rural  Ontario, Canada in 1967. Maridon, aged 14, goes fishing and river-running

with Roger, her long-absent father, as meantime her friend and peer, from the Cree tribe to

the north,  beckons with his aloof charm and evidence of ancient skills. A wildfire,

purposely set,  spreads into grassy marshland one windy night. A canoe imperils father and

daughter as it spills on rocks in fast water. This lyrical work in 229 pages is an adventure

through young female passion, loss, spiritual crisis and reconciliation.
